The Girl Empowerment Mission (GEM) 2023 workshop, a flagship initiative of NTPC's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) wing, was inaugurated on May 2, 2023, at NTPC Jhanor Gandhar.

The workshop is being attended by around 29 girl participants from nine neighboring villages. The program was inaugurated with the lighting of a lamp by Sh. Neeraj Dubey (BUH-JGGPP) and Smt. Rekha Dubey (President-Gayatri Mahila Vikas Charitable Trust) along with other department heads from NTPC-Jhanor. Speaking on the occasion, BUH-JGGPP encouraged the girl participants and advised them to make the opportunity for their personal and professional development. All Girl participants introduced themselves on stage. To make the event more captivating, a "Magic Show" was organized, featuring a skilled magician who performed a variety of illusions to entertain the audience.

On this occasion, Sh. Neeraj Dubey (BUH-JGGPP), Smt. Rekha Dubey (President-Gaytri Mahila Vikas Charitable Trust), Sh. Ravindra Sharma (AGM-MM), Smt. Vijaya Lakshmi Murlidharan (AGM-HR) and DC-CISF were present along with other NTPC officials and members of the Ladies Club.
